We care about the representation of our people in books, film, and other media. We aim to feature children's books by Black British authors and we also try to provide a wider selection of books for boys. Our goal is to promote literacy and help young readers find stories that are fun and inspiring.

We understand that UK Black literature and Black History are over represented by the Black American experience. Black UK writers bring a different focus, more relatable heroes and role models. We aim to show a true representation of feelings and stories of Black children in the UK.
