Representation Matters

1/7/2020

Allen has explained really eloquently why representation matters to children but in particular to our black boys.
~
I have listed my top three online bookshops for children based on books for boys, which I hope you find helpful.

~
The most important thing is to get children into the habit of reading on a regular basis.
~
Black books should be their foundation; helping us to find them numerous mentors,  positive images, role models and affirmations they can adopt.
This habit, practice, ritual, quiet time whatever you want to call it; will help create a space that consistently magnifies our children's growth, development, love and well-being.
