We live in a time where everything is now, the big things are all that matters and results should be spot on.
But have you found yourself chasing the big prize, the next big thing and yet it never seems to work?
We are all different and for some people, it’s the little things that really makes the difference. What do you think?
Are you the type of person that always deals with the small things first or are you someone that needs guidance to work on those little things?
Go back in time and make a list of 5 small things you should have taken care of? Write down how you could have dealt with them and finally what do you think the results would have been?
It’s important to understand what really works for you?
I’m good at stepping back and seeing the big picture, but in reality it’s the small things that get me moving. I’ll do a lot little things this month but often will not see the results until 6 months to a year later, it’s a little bit like teaching. I did a lot of little things in the first term, to get the foundation right my groups, which I know will set then up for the difficult work and exams ahead. I’d be knackered by Christmas but satisfied that my students and I will reap the results of all our hard work in terms two and three.
So. I’ll ask again, is it time for you to start thinking about the small things and if yes, where would you start?
Message Hettie; introduce yourself and list your 5 small things that could have got you moving.
